“The Night Market” was my first introduction to Jesikah Sundin’s sensual world of fae, humans and animal familiars. 💖 Solidly in the romantasy genre, the romantic attraction at its heart holds you tight and doesn’t let go. 💖 It’s historical fantasy adjacent because the fantasy world has the classic medieval fairy tale setting vibe.

Rhylen, a Raven shifter on the bottom of his faerie clan’s food chain, and Filena, a mortal “seer” he nominally owns, are fated mates whose desire for one another only burns brighter because it’s forbidden. Their fighting hearts and passion for one another drives the exciting thriller plot as each learn more about themselves and come into their own.

💖 The writing is beautiful and the world full of adorable mischief, animal familiars, witty banter, mysterious goddesses and bawdy humor. Sundin’s crafted a place you never want to leave. Thankfully, there are other books in the series. Highly recommend! 💖
